Gray Family at Thanksgiving 2008
Gray Family at Thanksgiving 2008
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We celebrated with Barbara's Mom, brother Tom, sister-in-law Sid, and nephew Travis.  Great food, great family, and Go Aggies - Beat Texas!  (FYI: None of us are Aggie fans -- all Texas Tech fans.  Uncle Tom did attend UT, so he wasn't cheering for the Aggies, though his wife and children are all Texas Tech alums.)  the Aggies were soundly defeated...oh well, it was a longshot.

We had a delightful Thanksgiving at Tom and Sid Gray's home in Highland Park.  Here are Thanksgiving 2008 photos for friends and family to see.  Sid's meal had some exceptional dishes.  I loved her potatoes, and the brussel sprouts were really tasty.

Tom and Sid have a lovely home.  The home next door has been demolished, and some folks will be building a new home on the small lot.  The lot is really small -- maybe 1/8 acre, and I understand the lot is valued at just under $600,000.  Yikes!

I have been working with a number of Canadians recently.  Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October.  A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians, too.

We lived in Dallas from 1977 to 1992 when we moved to Chester England.  Barbara lived here from 1963 until we were married in 1971.  So, we know Dallas.

I am posting a lot of my Dallas photos to Flickr while we are here; I have hundreds.  I am attempting to put all 30,000 or so of my Round American travel photos on Flickr.

On a trip earlier this year, son Ryan and I toured famous spots from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  We started at Dealey Plaza and the Grassy Knoll.  We also visited Parkland Hospital's Emergency Room, Lee Harvey Oswald's house, the corner where Officer J.D. Tippit was killed, the Hardy Shoe Store where people identified Oswald, and the Texas Theater where Oswald was captured.

Tomorrow will bring a little Dallas sightseeing and some more great food.  Dallas has some really special restaurants that we really really miss in Atlanta.
