Amazing how much stuff we pack on trips
Complications. Sometimes travel isn't easy.
We have a new car with just a few thousand miles on it. It has a lot of cool features like an IPOD player so we can hear all of our favorite songs, a hands-free Bluetooth telephone, navigation system, and more. We looked forward to enjoying it on this trip.
So, wouldn't you just know that the car stopped in the middle of the road a week before the trip. Just stopped. It has been a comedy of errors ever since. Two tow trucks showed up to get the car. The car dealer replaced the entire computer system, but that didn't fix it. They tried a number of other things, but nothing fixed it. We were told they didn't have a clue what was wrong. Then we were told the car was ready, only to find they had our car confused with another. It seems that the car dealer can't figure out what's wrong. One thing has been confirmed: It doesn't work.
So, we planned to take our SUV. What happens on Saturday a day before we are to leave: the transmission light comes on. There was no time to get it repaired, so it was time to call the new car dealer who can't figure out what's wrong with our new car and get a loaner car.
We obtained a little loaner car. It's small, and it does not have a lot of cool features like an IPOD player, hands-free telephone, navigation system and more. But at least it runs, and there are no warning lights or strange sounds.
Then my Texas Tech Red Raiders were humiliated by the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. That may explain how I became ill on Sunday night. Our Monday departure was postponed until Tuesday. Feeling better, we left our home in Atlanta at 10:00 am. We are headed for Paris and other exciting destinations.

You Had the Wrong Tow Truck
As Boz can tell you, there's a fine little Tow Truck Driver down around Captiva by the name of Bubba who operates with a Pit Bull/Rottweiller mix dog to guard his office (dog's name is Rottenpit) and scare away customers. If you are thirsty, Bubba will go back to the trailer where he lives in the woods behind the shop and bring you out a sweet tea while you wait.
Now, if Bubba had been the one to come see about you, none of this would have happened. Bubba's card says he goes anywhere...maybe even Paris.
