Well we are finally heading into the last two weeks of our stay here in the soggy isles, it has been a awesome experience so far.
Yesterday we went to the town of Colleges called Oxford, wow talk about history and sights it was brilliant we went to one of the oldest pubs in Oxford but it was chockablock full so went to another pub that 20yrs pervious had celebrated its 150 yr anniversity.
Trevor was so impressed he registered for a degree in nutology so he can claim as he says "the right to find my nuts anywhere",then we had a look around the city and marveled at how old it was, Terry our tour guide showed us around an pointed out some of the old buildings one was the oldest Tudor style house left in oxford, and when we came through a passage we came into a covered market full of fruit vegies fish meat etc we wandered through and came out at his old watering hole and was dissapointed that it had been converted into a pizza restaurant, when I looked back the sign above said 1193 to 1988 hm how old is that at makes me feel sooo young
To day we went to a lovely area where the canal boats go and saw an awesome loch called Foxton Loch, this allows the boats to pass thru about 10 lochs as they go up and down the canal then back to the pub for a quick pint and then we booked our wales and cotswold accommodation, we have booked a renta bomb for the wales trip so will be a fun time on the roads with some roads so small u can't pass a peice of paper between door handles. so the next time i see you all will be when we are in wales hoo roo all
Hugs Stewart and Nancy
Its your dry and stoked(happy as a pig in mud) roving reporter trevor, have i got some news for you and its so exciting the UK does have SUN I found it in Leicester whoo hoo and boy did i give it a tonuge lashing it then promptly went and hid behind some clouds, sheesh fickle things these suns hey any way I have really enjoyed my stay here the idiots mate Terry and his wife ( Ann) have been great and Terry took us all to Oxford today so i could have a look at where i want to study my degree, we found the college of Nutology and i registered and before you know it was thrown out the door with a degree that was not to be had was told don;t come back as i have one to many nuts (stewart)so was a bit dissapointed but still i tried on my shirt just in case i get re accepted
This is a beautiful city wow small but so much in it and has plenty of trees for me to hide in and litte passages the only problem is bikes sheesh they are every where saw some dude in his pin stripe trousers and tails going like the wind (probably late for a pint) and nearly ran us over. Today we went to a lovely place where they sail long skinny boats down a canal I spoke to one bloke and he was just putting the finishing touches to the boat, I asked how long has he been doing it and he said oh about 400 hrs and 2 millon pints later he is finishing it, and said they live on the boats all summer and when winter arrives they moor them in a special area or some even lift them out of the water to clean the hulls. we then had a nice drive back to Terrys we stopped off for a quick pint at a lovely old pub and then went and bought a GPS as Nancy and stewart were arguing already about what road to follow in wales this way it saves arguements and my ears,ok better go and get this bum up as we are going to stay in lecester city tonight and then off to wales tomorrow hugs all hoo roo Trevor
