G'day All,
Finally have a computer to sit and tell you all about our time in Egypt, Wow what a country of contrasts, Today we flew from Cario and onto Luxor and the valley of the Kings, so again an early rise and off to the airport. More security checks bags put thru and stuff and armed guards every where they go under the gusie of being called the Tourist police, not sure if they are there to protect us or to just take tips to ensure we have no problems getting thru the sites. This is frowned on but it was happening every where, the flight eventually took off as it was on egyptian time so was a slight delay. The flight was good squeezie but good and when we landed in Luxor we were transfered again thru security just incase we made a mid air transfer of things they did not want you to have.
We were too early for our Cruise Boat so we went and saw some temples, the Luxor temple being the biggest in the area and also the best of the area, the heat was ok at this stage and the tour Guide Mahomed was excellent he informed us he had to study at university for 5yrs to be a tour guide and spoke english and german
There is only 7 of us on the tour which is great as we seem to be suited to each other there is a couple from NZ a dad an daughter act from America and one lass from California and our Guide Mahomed, the Luxor temple is known as the Knaak temple and it was huge impressive as we were leaving there were a zillion ppl arriving and mahomed said they had travelled 5 hrs to get here hm right in the middle of the day when the temp was already 36. off we went to the boat and as we boarded we had to walk thru the other boats main reception area so as we went further in the more elabarote the receptian area became when we got to ours we were last boat in 4 boats wide at the dock. After lunch and a siesta we went back out and had a look at Luxor |Temple and then off to a Papyrus museum and then back to the boat for dinner and bed ready for the next days tour of the Valley of the kings.

What stunning pics!!
What stunning pics ... I can't believe the colour on those hieroglyphs (if you think I've spelled that wrong you should have seen the previous three attempts!!). Absolutely amazing ... Chris reckons you're the Aussie David Bailey Stewart :)
