Wednesday 15th May.
Today we leave for Cunnamulla after breakfast. Sue and I walked for nearly an hour then back for breakfast before connecting the van. We left Kidmans Camp just before 9am and stopped at about 130k's up the road at the Queensland border for a coffee. The wayside stop at the border was a dump with rubbish everywhere overflowing from the bins. Back on the road we had to dodge dead and live animals and encountered roadwork in one area.
We arrived in Cunnamulla just after midday and set up our vans and then had lunch. The sites are drive through but very close together and a bit tight to put up the awning. After lunch we walked into town to the Tourist Info Centre and on the way we followed part of the Heritage trail visiting old buildings, memorial fountain, Cobb and Co murals and the Cunnamulla Fella Statue. From the Cunnamulla Fella Centre we visited The Club Boutique Hotel for coffee which we learn't later was instant coffee and not very nice. After walking back through town for a look we back tracked past the Hotel again to the Robber's Tree on the way back through a sand dune walking trail. We all sat down and caught up with our journals before attending the happy hour open fire down the back of the park.
Thursday 16th May.
Its now becoming a habit with the alarm at 6.30am, and out walking about an hour before breakfast. We hit the road at 9am to drive to the town of Eulo about 60k's away for a look. We had a wander around the main street  followed be a coffee at the local general store sitting at the tables out the front.
From there we drove to the Opal Town of Yowah a further 80k's away expecting the last 30k's to be gravel but it turned out they sealed it 5 years ago and didn't tell Hema Maps.
We had our cut lunch at the Tom Egan Memorial Park in the centre of town. This was followed by a drive around the streets stopping for a look at some opals at the "Tram Car Stop Opal Gallery". We didn't buy any and by then it was time to drive back to Cunnamulla. On arriving back at about 3pm and refuelled the vehicles we visited the IGA then we went to the local pub to rate the town. My only problem was that because of the antibiotics that I'm taking I could only have a lemon squash.
Back at the park the journals were updated then off to the camp fire put on by the park owners. At 7pm it was decided to cook our dinner and take it over and sit around the campfire to eat as it was nice and warm there. At about 8.30pm we headed back to the vans for the night. We will be off to Charleville tomorrow around 9am.
