Today we decide to have a decent breakfast before we go trekking around. Yesterday we passed a few interesting shops which were closing or closed on our way home so we decide that today we will head back down there as we still have a few pressies to get for Brian to take home and I need to get some trainers since I have sent mine ahead to Perth and I need something to climb the bridge in.
I'm not quite sure where we ended up but we had a long hike down to the bridge to arrive on time for our sunset climb which we pre booked on the internet before we left Cairns. Once we have checked in we are asked to wait till we are called which will be in about half an hour so we have a look round the shop. Finally we are called and go through to a room where we fill in forms about our health and then go through to the next room where we are given our climbing jump suits and have to leave all our stuff in a locker
It's quite a hike up all these steps but I guess we have climbed worse! The sun is setting not that you would know it with all these clouds around but hey we can't control the weather. I guess it is kind of dragged out a bit which I'm not surprised since its cost a small fortune and once at the top we have pictures taken which of course we can buy afterwards. On the way down it started getting dark and I guess looking over Sydney from up here is something else but still not worth the money we paid. Once back down we change back in to our normal clothes, gather our belongings, collect our certificate and complimentary group photo then have a look at the pictures which were taken of us. We buy a couple (Brian will take them home, get them scanned then email them to us so we can put them on here) and head of back to where we are staying for food as we are now starving.
We take the tube so its not long before we are sitting down to a nice Thai dinner after which Brian goes to bed while Ben and I wander back down to Mrs Macquarie's Point to take some night time pictures which look pretty good if I do say so myself
By the time we get back to the room its almost 1am and we really need some sleep as Ben and I have an early morning flight to catch to New Zealand to catch up with George and Jazz who we met about 6 months ago in India; hope they remember us!
Am just adding these entries on pics will be on as soon as i can get them on so keep checking
To be continued. . . . .

. Next we run through how all the gear works; the harness which is attached to the bridge so you don't fall off, jumper and hats if we want them in case it gets cold which are all clipped on to our suits. We have a quick practice over a small bridge, are given radio headphones so we can hear the guide telling us what we need to know and then we are off. It's quite a hike up all these steps but I guess we have climbed worse!
