it used to be longer and once had a train which ran up and down it; now people just fish.
It's quite a walk and in the distance you can see Fraser Island and lots of smoke above it. We walk and walk right to the very end passing people fishing right to the very end where a man gives Brian fish to feed a pelican perched upon a lamp post.
We take the steady walk back and on the way we see that a man has caught a baby shovel nose ray (not sure if thats what it is actually called).
he wasn't bothered about keeping the fish he just wanted his hook back so he gutted it to get it out! I was stunned the tight bastered should have just go and buy a new hook!!!!!!!! There was also a dead puffa fish which Ben decided to take a picture of.
We stop for a mango smoothie and give up on looking for somewhere to have breakfast deciding we will get some stuff from the shop and head back to our cabin and make sandwiches. At the shop it all goes tits up, and I end up getting salad forgetting to get some ham, only realizing once we are back home. Thankfully I got a tin of beans so we had beans on toast. I fell asleep, Ben sorted out the internet and Brian read his book.
Around 6pm we set of to Heather's house as she has invited us for tea and of course we are famished now. We sit and chat for hours enjoying a lovely chicken salad and several cups of tea before heading off to bed as we have an early start in the morning.
To be continued. . . . .
We didn't get up too early this morning which makes a change for these two and head off into town for breakie but first we plan to stop of at the Pier which is 1k long;
