So today we woke up late after last nights partying, have 15 minutes to get our stuff together and escape this jail cell which we just about manage, grab a quick coffee and jump in a taxi to take us to our new home.

As it is Sunday morning most of our house mates are at home chillin and welcome us in with open arms. We chuck our bags in our room and sit out on the decking chatting for a few hours; the sun is blazing as summer is just starting here and the nights are like breezy summer nights back in England.

Once our push bikes are sorted we decide that we should go shopping for food so off we go to the super market which is about 20 minutes away on the bike (this bloody saddle between my legs hurts like hell and my backside is numb!). We haven't done food shopping since January 2006 and today will be the first time I have cooked a meal in 7 months but I am looking forward to it as we are fed up of eating out all the time and hopefully this will save us some money. Next Sunday I may even cook a Sunday roast with all the trimmings! We take our small ruck sacks and they are full to bursting by the time we have left the super market (Ben carries most of it as I struggle to navigate the roads which thankfully all have cycle lanes). Back at the house we fill our little draw and shelf in the fridge with all our shopping, make ham & cheese sandwiches (we couldn't find any Branston pickle but I haven't given up hope yet!) and later we make a chicken curry for tea. The night was spent drinking and chatting to our new house mates about anything and everything. There is Phil & Lee from the south of England, Simon from New Zealand, Izzy from Scotland, Tashi & Damien form Oz and Kim from Oz who is moving in tomorrow. It is gone midnight by the time we get to bed.

To be continued. . . . .
