Today we are off up Petronas Twin Towers so we have to get up early, 7.30am early. It's free to go up to the Sky Bridge but they only give out 1320 tickets per day and the ticket office opens at 8.30am so we are told it's wise to get there early. We arrived just before 8.30am and a queue of about 100 people was already there but it didn't take long. The viewings are every 15 minutes and you are given a ticket with a time on so you are not hanging around. We could have had tickets for 9.30am but wanted to go and get some breakfast so we asked for 11am, had breakfast then coffee at Coffee Bean of course and wondered round a bit then went back.

First you watch this video about how they were built and how much concrete, steel and stuff was used (can't remember a thing) then take the lift which travels at the rate of 1 floor per second so it took 41 seconds. You have 15 minutes to take pics and enjoy the view before you are ushered back in to lift. We met John & Debbie from somewhere near Huddersfield (it was too early for my brian to register where they are from and Ben is not here to tell me) on their Honeymoon who are here for a few days then off to spend the rest on an island which sound fantastic; congratulations guys hope you have an amazing time.

There's a permanent haze/smog which hangs over KL (something to do with farmers burning fields) but its well worth going up to have a look as it's free anyway then back down at the bottom there is a room with a few gadgety things in it one of which is a machine which tells you how many times your height the towers are (see pics) and a demonstration on a small model of what would happen if the towers were hit buy lightening.

There really is no need to get up so early they were still giving out tickets when we got back down so as long as you get there before 11am chances are you will get a ticket but I should think it will be busier at weekends. We went for a wonder around the gardens at the back where there is kid's playground (we got told off for playing on the swings), a pool and a lake.

We then decided to go to watch 'sharks' in 3D at the IMAX in Times Square. It was ok but they have other films on too so may go and see something else if we get chance. Went back to room and had a little sleep (mornings are not good for me) while Ben played on the laptop making slide shows out off the pics we have taken and it gave him chance to play with the new camera.

After dinner at Izzi which has wireless internet and probably the best of the bunch around here; on an afternoon you can have coffee & cake and just type away (the cakes are delicious) we decide to take the new camera out and go back to the twin towers and take some more pics. Just as we arrive it starts pissing it down and we get soaked even though we managed to get a few more pics. Had a coffee at Coffee Bean (like i keep saying a must if you are in Maylasia, i will probably be able to direct you to any one of the hundreds in Maylasia by the time we leave) then went back to room to look at all pictures and get some sleep.

How do you all view the pics? If you look at them as a slide show you dont get read the comments below the pics - to do this you need to click on each picture which then opens in a new window and scroll down.

To be continued. . . .
