The bus arrives with comfy seats, TV and DVD player so we settle down for the three hour drive ahead to Chumphon where we will then catch the 1pm Catamaran to Koh Tao which takes 1 ½ hours.

We arrive and decide to stay at OK II bungalows; it's at the bottom of the island with huts dotted around the cliffs, its heaven with a beautiful view and lots of peace and quiet. Ben hates it before we've even had a look around. I tell him to chill out and enjoy the peace. We get something to eat at OK restaurant; the food is shit and then we go for a walk just for something to do. It's hot and the wooden hut draws in the heat but for me the view makes it all worth while.

Next day we hire a bike and drive round, there is only one road so you can't get lost and it takes 5 minutes to drive from one side to the other! We bump in to an Irish couple (whose names escape me) and we meet up at night for dinner, putting the world to rights, well mostly India as they have travelled there too, before heading to bed in need of sleep.

Today we were going to go on a boat trip around the island with the couple from yesterday but I feel like shit and didn't fancy spending the day on a boat. Ben is still board and wants to leave so we ride down to the dock to book our tickets to leave for Koh Samui.

Ok so we are staying!!

Next to where you catch the catamaran is a dive shop called Easy Divers and we got talking to them about doing our PADI Open Water, something Ben has been trying to get me to do for ages. Everyone comes to Kho Tao to dive, that is all there is to do. I finally decide to give it a go, so it looks like we are staying for another 5 days. First we have to do a visa run tomorrow.

To be continued. .
