Sri Lanka here we come

Today we fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka. The flight took 45 minutes with Sri Lankan Airlines and is one of the best flights I've ever had. We landed just after lunch time and airport security was at its maximum. We had no idea where we were headed so we stopped at one of the travel desks and discussed our options. We only have two weeks and want to pack in as much as we can while taking in a few beaches. We book a four day trip to do the major sight seeing bits and figure we will sort the rest when we need to. We spend our first night in Negambo which is not far from the airport.
Negambo has a beautiful beach which is covered with all inclusive style resorts. It's quiet, there is nothing to do which is a good thing really since it's so bloody hot. If you're a beach babe like a few of my friends back home then this would be an ideal holiday destination, but still I can think of better places to go. We go for a stroll down the road side; passed Asda and Tescos! We walk back along the beach, stop for tea then get some sleep. We leave at 9 am and will drive up to the ancient city of Anuradhapura.
