We catch the train to trivandum, it takes about and hour. It's packed and hot but we manage to find a seat. We leave our bags at the luggage room at the train station and go in search of a room. We start at Manjalikulam Road not far from the station and end up at Hotel Kyvalya. It's not much but the best we've found and he lets us have it for 300rs a night as we are here for a week. I wouldn't recommend wasting a week here but we need to book our flights to Sri Lanka and can't be bothered to travel further down the coast just to come back up. It's ridiculously hot now and we pray for rain to cool us down. Our hotel manager is full of information and recommends a great coffee shop; Coffe Beanz. He draws us a map and then offers us a lift there and we get lost walking back.
We visited the zoo which is well worth a trip, had a day at Happy Land Water Park, wondered round the streets alot and finally booked our flights.
Our time in India has been amazing and we will return soon.
