The World is our Oyster! Rosey & Ben's Part World
Tour starting in India,
taking in Thailand,
Borneo, Indonesia, Oz, New
Zealand & maybe back to
the UK. Who knows whats in
store?
We caught the over night bus to Chennai the state of Tamil Nadu. If you don't want to be harassed by rikshaw men when you arrive at a new destination simply leave your bags in the luggage storage at the bus or train station. Not all have them but when they do it gives you chance to look round and find some where to stay with out having to lug them around. It's normally 10 rupees a bag and most are open till 11pm. Then take a rikshaw from near your digs to collect your bags you will feel a lot less stressed.
We left our bags and headed to Egmore to find somewhere to sleep. It's overly busy for some reason and not much is available but we find a place called Classic Tower (its down a snicket buy a church not far from the train station) and the room is bright pink. So we head back into the city to have walk round and collect our bags. If you can get away without staying in Chennai then I suggest you save you money for some where else because we didn't enjoy it here and couldn't wait to get away. We took no photos, saw nothing of interest and were glad to get away.
