Getting to Zagreb was quite an ordeal, riding the metro again, to Deli station, where we start our first interailing journey to Zagreb in Croatia, but we have to change trains at Kelenfold Station. This sounds easy, but it is hard work, we had a ticket lady trying to put us on another train, there doesn't seem to be any pocket timetables, so you have to count stops... and we didn't know what stop! But we found a few kind locals and an Italian to help us. At one point we thought we going to be stranded at Klendfold. Trying to find some help in a very large deserted looking station. Dave did all the running to find an English speaking railway employee (or anyone).
We had a very nice sleepy journey with lots of scenery. When I was in the toilet the train stopped, so I thought I would just hang on and flush when we get going again, but we had crossed the border into Croatia. So there were several rude interruptions and a very embarrassed me exiting the toilet to be greeted by the border guards.
The Hostel in Zagreb was a lot larger and more impersonal than in Budapest. When we arrived there was a huge group of foreign teenagers in the reception. After arriving we strolled around Zagreb. It seems a pleasant city.
