Granada, ***, Wednesday February 7th-8th, 2007.
Another one nighter but think it was sufficient. Town full of beautiful colonial buildings. The Central Americans have a lot to be thankful to the Spanish in terms of the architecture that they were left with...they took their gold, language and cultures but at least they left them nice buildings!
We stayed in the Bearded Monkey hostel ere. Prob one of the most popular hostels in Central America...making a bomb. They`ve a restaurant there too where nearly everyone staying in the hostel at this time ate at one stage or another..including us. Had the baked potato that I`ve been craving for about a month now. Nice change from beef, refried beans, rice and eggs (still hate them) but wasn`t really worth the extra money.
Got the boat from the port in Granada out to the island of Isla Ometepe
