San Salvador, Saturday Jan 13th-15th, 2007...most globalized place I've ever been. Wendy's, payless shoe source, Maccy Ds, Burgerking, KFC, it has it all
Not much to say bout El Salvador's capital. Not a place I liked and not a place I'd go back to for pleasure, or business if I could avoid it. On the outskirts, it looks like America except the police and security guys have big rifles instead of neat little handguns. The rich drive round in their 4 by 4s and mercs.
The centre is dirty and polluted with markets. The poor are all present here. Begging and doing what they can to survive.
Don't bother going to the Irish bar either. They don't even have Guinness.
Took advantage of globalization and went to see "borth" or whatever it's called..the one with Ali G. Highly racist, rude and at times over-vulgar but in my eyes, hilarious.
