Waterfalls were actually v.impressive. They were mentioned only as sidekicks to the Palenque ruins in all the guide books so I hadnīt been expecting much. Agua Azul was the most spectacular for the record

Friday November 24th-not sure when. Prob til Monday when we head to Cancun...then Cuba Wed. So excited. Cuba has always been on my top 5 list of places to see..just pray Fidel doesnīt pass away before then. Tulum not so globalised but more advanced than some places weīve been.

Reached Tulum this morn after a 12 hour (and naturally the bus was an hour and fifteen minutes late) bus journey. Just got dwn to beach waterfalls

. We were gonna camp but we decided on hostel in town instead. We're here to visit a neighbour of Collins from Clara, Theresa Nestor. A couz of Nestors actually for anyone from Law and Accounting.

Tulum is a nice place. Small and friendly. Lovely beach. We'll prob just chill here til Monday and get all Christmas cards sent etc

So whatīs happened in meantime? Iīve changed gender for one and joined the male race. My hair had gotten out of control (back to the 2nd year "Sheīs electric" songs!) so I decided to cut it. I had done an excellent job of thinning it and doing some fanxy layers at the front (strands of hair cut different lengths for any buffer males reading!) I trusted Collins with the task of cutting the hair at the back, instructing him to leave it longer that the longest layer. He ended up cutting it shorter than the SHORTEST layer. Itīs up above my ears. I havenīt had it this short since I was six.

It was all fine until a Mexican shouted Muchachos at us which technically means "boys" I then started to react a whole lot differently to Collinsīslagging. So welcome to my new home page. From now on, you can call me Ross. The worst blinking thing is that itīs still bloody electric!
