Olaf and I drove over to Colac to spend some time with his friends the Nisbitts. Colac is south-west of the city. The country was a lot greener. The expanse is just massive. Lots of cattle and sheep. Occasional a horse pops up. A lot of sheds made of corrugated iron. Amazing. And everywhere signs for Kangaroo crossing. I've also seen Koala and Wombat crossing and amazingly Echidna crossing, oh, yeah and there was one for a duck family... On the way to the Nisbitts, I managed to miss 2 road-kill red foxes (who are a pest in Australia), saw 3 road-kill wallabies and managed to see one live one that hopped away as we drove past. It's fun.

Echt lustig.

The Nisbitt Welcoming Comittee which consists of 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 children greeted us as we got out of the car. There was no hymn playing or anything, but I guess the barking was sort of  a song.

The kids, Will (8) and Meghen (11) are good kids. Very open and easy going. Told us all about their newest toys and all the activities they are participating in. During dinner we talked about Karaoke, since their Dad, Chris, had just returned from a trip to Korea, and had to do some Karaoke there. Well, turns out, the Nisbitts are the proud owners of two volumes of Singstar. Yeah, guess what we did that night. Things I learned: I have no idea how to sing "C'mon Eileen," Chris is really good with all sort of "da da da...doowhop..doo dee doo yeahs," Olaf musical knowledge ranges from impressive to scary (he's good at singing Tina Turner). Then again. My best song I think was 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton. I really should not admit that, huh? Anyway, it was fun.
