So we arrived in Interlaken yesterday afternoon around 3pm, and we immediately began to look for a hostel; we didn't want to end up stuck outside like in Lyon. Fortunately this guy who spoke native English came up to us and asked us if we were headed to Balmer's. We found out that Balmer's is a local hostel where a lot of Americans and English speaking travelers stay. He gave us a ride to the place, and we booked a couple of nights. It's pretty nice, with four bunkbeds in a room. Last night, we went to a local restaurant and ate a huge dinner. The german spoken here is a lot different from the german I am used to, so its kind of difficult understanding the dialect, it's cool all the same. This morning, Chris and I walked to Brienzersee, a lake on the other side of town. It was an hour or so trek, but we skipped rocks, had lunch, and chris went swimming. The water was absolutely freezing, so I didn't go any farther than my ankles. Tomorrow morning we're heading out for Münich. We have an idea of where we want to stay, so it will be an easy journey. Hope everything is going well stateside. Love ya, Rohan and Chris.
