Where I stayed
J-she is so endeared by the Noordin staff she is attracted, moth-like, to the great shopping complex under Komtar where she will offer the obligatory sacrifice of Ringitt to appease the retail gods of Penang. And buy the Noordin staff some nice chocolate.
I laze lazily in the pool whilst J-she partakes on a final Penang expedition. Ahh, the joys of a pool in a searing tropical climate. I swear never to book another hotel that does not have a pool.
J-she returns and shares lunch with the staff. It appears to be the leftovers of the Malay dish offered for breakfast. I’m a little hesitant, but J-she is ravenous.
We wait anxiously for our taxi, booked for 1pm, it’s now 1.10pm and we’re a little concerned, AirAsia don’t muck around with bumping people from flights. We wait. We wait some more. The taxi arrives and we make it to the airport in plenty of time despite our transportation induced stress.
Langkawi, magical golden beaches, chillaxed island lifestyle, lazy days by the pool.
After checking in at La PariPari we don’t get to the golden beach , we chillax out (in the room) and have a very lazy day, assisted by air-con.
We eat at FatCUPID the inhouse restaurant and I have one too many drinks. By 10pm J-she is very ill and pale. I show my deepest concern by suggesting she 'might have eaten something'. I’m a genius aren’t I?
By midnight J-she is throwing up and casting her aspersions at the La PariPari food. I’m sound asleep in Tiger induced ignorant bliss.
Still no Durians. No Beach, J-she junks out
