The thrid largest waterfall in the world and Huangguoshu Waterfall can be reached by moderate climb down or via the longest escalator in Asia at 170 metres. With a natural cave that snaked its way behind the waterfall for 76 metres it assured that we would be getting very close and WET!

It was also the eve of it's annual festival and we were witness to the rehearsal of acts and performances to be held in a couple of days. They had people from all different minority villages around China come and perform and dress up. It was almost too good to be true and a lot of them did look rather fake but you could tell that some of them were real and showing their colours loud and proud.
