The bus to Chengdu was a bit of an ordeal with at least a quater of the the bus vomiting at least once. It all started when the old granny sitting in front of Amber started vomiting out the window which splashed back onto our window. Luckily for us we had it closed so we were safe, for now. But the granny had started a chain reaction and within minutes someone else was showing the signs of vomiting sickness (rubbing of forehead, losening shirt, reaching for a plastic bag) and eventually puked in the bag. Afterwards he did us all (except the environment) a favour and threw it out the window which is normal here. The next person to vomit was the person sitting behind Amber (poor thing). It was ludicrous, what were the chances? Anyhow various people around the bus took there turn in vomiting and the stench on the bus was getting pretty bad. It was so bad that when we went past a honey farm a swarm of bees caught wind of the scent and surrounded the bus. It continued to follow the bus and I thought that I was going to die, I could see it now "Oz traveller stung to death by vomit hungry bees" in the papers the next day. It took them two tunnels and half an hour later to finally give up the chase and we pulled in afterwards to the carwash to get the car cleaned (coincident?) but only on the outside.

Not a usual tourist destination for foriegners but a mandatory stop for us. It is considered the Shanghai of the west and it has the best food in all of China. The highlight of the city was this one roast duck restaurant. Arguably the best chinese roast duck in the world it came with a tasty and light duck sauce which cost 8 RMB for a bowl..... thats $1.20 for the best roast duck in the world! It was so good we dined there again and even got take away the following day for the train ride! So good! So juicy! I love duck!
