Ok so yesterday was filled with a gruelling 6 1/2 hour ride from Antigua which started at 4am in the morning. The border crossing was abit of free for all as there was no lines and someone handing out forms who seems to have his side business of exchanging money aswell, hmmm.
Got into town and found a really nice hostel to stay called the Manzana Verde (green apple) which has all these funny signs everywhere. Took a short walk to the ruins which was an unbelievable sight. A friend from the bus and I slowly deciphered which areas were which and made our way slowly through the ruins. Its hard to imagine what life was like 3 000 years ago. After 4 hours of ruins it was time to head back to civilisation, but we had sidetracked to some other ruins nearby which wasn´t so grand and also tried to check out the museum which was unfortunately closed for renovation
Heading out to Gracias to do some serious hiking. Short on time have to run.
