Recently spent the better part of a week in Ephraim/Manti Utah. Nice "little" towns about 120 miles south southeast of Salt Lake City. The Willow Creek Inn was a nice hotel though I had some issues with the wireless on my older laptop. Newer laptops worked just fine. Price was about average. Though they do not allow pets which in the future might be an issue. There are no big chain restaurants outside of McDonald's and Subway so I hope you like snooping around the local joints. For lunch Fred's in Manti can't be beat. Talk about a little of everything on the menu. From good cheeseburgers to teriyaki bowls they could pretty much fit any diet! Though I'd pass on Lotsa Motsa Pizza, go the 7 miles to Ephraim. For supper we ate at three locations which all seemed pretty good. Snow Dragon Chinese restaurant is NOT a buffet, it had good food at a decent price, two of us ate for around $35.00 and the Kung Po Chicken was pretty good. The next joint was a 3-1 eatery Called Roy's Pizza/Tin Plate Pasta/Pollie's Brainfreeze . We choose Tin Plate pasta and we were not disappointed! Don't expect fine china and champagne here. This was pasta at it's simplest, having chosen the Spinach Alfredo in a meat marinara I was overly surprised by how delicious this was! Unfortunately do to a winter storm we where not able to enjoy Pollie's Brainfreeze it is a must have on the next trip through that country. After all mom (Pollie) and her blond hair insist. With donut's from Miller's Bakery that where better than Walmart brand we kicked off our last day. The last place we ate was the Manti House's restaurant. While the Prime Rib was very tender the flavor did lack some. But if you're wanting a steak you might want to try these guys out.For a later blog I'll talk about some exciting places in and around Salt Lake City.
