Well I climbed a mountain today.  To be precise I did the Tongariro Crossing - an 18.5km test of endurance that only best mountain climbers can complete.....alright well maybe I'm exaggerating slightly.  But here are the facts - I completed the crossing in trainers, an Adidas hoody and a bucket hat, amongst people in serious mountaineering gear.  The wind was blowing at the top on narrow exposed cliff faces at 40mph, and I had to cling onto several rocks to stay upright so I didn't topple over the edge!!!  But it was all good fun, I'm now absolutely nackered so I'll complete the tale when I get to Wellington tomorrow.  Wanna see what I did?  Go to http://www.tongarirocrossing.org.nz/

Oh and another link for you, while in Hamilton me and some of the other lads were interviewed by the Waikato Times for a feature they were doing on the Barmy Army visiting Hamilton.  We didn't make it into the main newspaper but I made it onto their internet slideshow which you can find at: http://video.stuff.co.nz/waikato/WTSSpom/index.html

Right I'm off to get some pub grub and then sleep!  Hope the weathers not getting you all down too much back at home!!! :))))))  Sun is shining here again!!!
