Today we toured Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Bath has been the pick of the bunch to date. The centuries old Georgian architecture was stunning and it made us feel like we had stepped back in time. The only give-away was the modern vehicles on the road, which looked out of place. We toured the Roman Baths which were built 2000 years ago. After scones, jam and cream, and a bit more wondering around town, we were off up the highway though rolling green hills towards Stratford-upon-Avon.
The key attraction here was visiting Shakespeare's place and the lovely Tudor architecture of many buildings around town. A cruise on the river Avon was a peaceful way to end the day.
