From there we went to Hershey, where they make Hershey chocolates, did one of the free tours that was probably more aimed at kids but was still not bad. Of course at the end you pass through a souvenir shop which also contains chocolates, so had to buy some.
Made our way up to Gettysburg & went to the Museum of the American Civil War. We also travelled around some of the battlefield, many say it was the greatest battle of the Civil War. Over 3 days, 51,000 soldiers were either dead, wounded or missing, more than in any other battle fought in North America before or since. The Soldiers National Cemetery is where the Union dead are interred & is where Abraham Lincoln made his famous Gettysburg Address. Historic Downtown Gettysburg was amazing & such a contrast to the newer parts, some beautiful old buildings.
