Even though we had planned to leave today we couldn't leave DC without looking at some of the museums, so left the RV at the train station & will head off when we get back. Washington is known for its museums, set up by the Smithsonian Institution. There are 10 museums & galleries located on the National Mall & they are free. Trying to decide which ones to have a look at is the hard part.

First one we went to was the Holocaust Memorial Museum, then the National Air & Space Museum & finally the National Museum of the American Indian. We didn't spend long at the Air & Space museum as a lot of it was the same as what we had seen in Houston but the other two were very interesting but our feet had had enough & we were all museumed & memorialed out. We'll have a couple of quiet days before we hit New York.
