This morning we caught the bus in to town & walked up to the Country Music Hall of Fame & did a tour, took us a few hours to go through
. From there we walked back to Downtown. Our first night in Nashville when we went looking for some live music we were a little disappointed as we didn't find as much as we were expecting. Well, we found out today why not, we were in the wrong area. We walked down Broadway for about 3, maybe 4, blocks & it was almost wall to wall bars, all with live bands playing & that was in the afternoon.
We ended up catching the bus home, then decided when we got there, that we couldn't be in Nashville & not go out at night, so caught the bus back in again. We thought it was busy in the afternoon, was even busier at night. Our decision to leave the RV at Walmart & catch the bus in was a good one as we think we would have had trouble finding parking in town & the traffic was pretty chaotic in Nashville
After the weather yesterday, today turned out to be a beautiful day, a bit cooler than it has been but lovely & sunny. .
Well, yesterday was a rest day for us. When we were at Lynchburg the day before, a lady from one of the shops was telling us they had a severe storm warning out for the area which included rain, large hail, high winds & the possibility of tornadoes. Luckily, where we were camped we had wifi so could keep an eye on the weather. The storm front that was approaching went from the south to the north of the US & was amazing to see on the weather map. They were predicting it to hit Nashville about midday so rather than go out & get caught in it decided to just prop for the day. As it turned out, we didn't have any wind or hail, just rain which started about 11.30am & continued through the afternoon. It enabled us to just relax for the day & catch up on a few things.
