Came into Larkspur, which is across the bay from San Francisco & booked into an RV park, pretty basic but it's just for tonight & could walk down to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry over to San Francisco. Passed San Quentin gaol on the way, also Alcatraz. We did want to do a tour of Alcatraz but the first available date was 4th July & we weren't hanging around that long. We did a 2 hr tour in a open top bus around the city & up to the Golden Gate bridge, saw things we would never have seen otherwise. Because it's the weekend it is pretty packed in town. Also the Gay Pride parade is on tomorrow so we'll head in to have a look at that. It starts at 10.30 so will hopefully have a chance to have a look at a few more sights, the queue for the cable cars today was horrendous so will try again first thing in the morning.
