Left our camp this morning& drove to Whistler, had thought we might get there yesterday but because the road was so windy we didn't make it. Whistler was the site for the 2010 winter Olympics, we had a look around, walked around the village. There wasn't a lot of snow left on the mountains but the chairlifts still go for the mountain bikers, there are trails right down the mountain & there were guys (& girls) with bikes everywhere. The village itself was quite big.
Finished coming down the Sea to Sky Highway, it was a beautiful drive & for the last 15 or so miles we followed the coast. Stopped at a place called Horseshoe Bay, very pretty & the starting point for a few of the ferry routes.
When we left home we decided we would stay off the interstates as much as possible & avoid some of the bigger cities so the plan was to drive through Vancouver but the GPS was playing up (hadn't used it for a couple of weeks) & didn't have a proper map so saw a bit more than we had planned
We crossed back into the USA & had a 1/2 hour wait at the border crossing, lots of vehicles travelling south, they say it can sometimes take an hour so we were lucky. Camped at Walmart at Bellingham. Ray is glad we are back in the States, fuel is much cheaper as well as a lot of other things, especially his root beer that he has got addicted to. When we were fillng up with fuel there were a lot of cars from BC that were filling up as well as filling jerry cans. One woman had her boot filled with jerry cans she was filling as well as  gallons & gallons of milk. It's only just over the border so they must come over here to do there shopping.
Another beautiful day.
