Last night was a very cold night, so cold that we went into Walmart before we left & bought a cheap doona, the blankets provided with the motorhome were not warm enough. Our trusty gps, which has been a lifesaver, failed miserably today. Somehow, she sent us out into the back blocks between Casper & Natrona& we ended up on some narrow, gutted road & was sending us further into the middle of an oilfield. We're not supposed to go on dirt roads with the motorhome but at first we thought it was only for a little way, then the tracks got narrower & rougher so Ray ended up turning around& we went back & she finally got us going again. Still, it was something we wouldn't have seen as you couldn't see the oilfields from the highway.
Went to a place called Thermopolis, where they have natural hot springs, & had a soak, it was wonderful. We then drove out through the buffalo fields & saw quite a few, some of whom were right on the side of the road.
Finally arrived in Cody about 7pm, had a bit of a walk up the street before camping at Walmart for the night. Went across the road to a restaurant called Cassies for dinner, a rum & coke for $3.00 , good value.Turned out to be a beautiful day again, back into short sleeves.

Did you go to the hot baths at Thermopolis and did you see the gun fight in the saloon in Cody?
