On the train we met some Aussie travellers to chat to who were on their way back home after some time driving around Italy and into France to check out Paris-Disney. There seems to be quite a few Aussies travelling around over here.
The rest of the day was another travel day which did not turn out to be much of a commendation for French organisation and logistics - without going into boring detail. Refer to earlier similar comments for travel days. Suffice to say that the day started with a 06:30 rise and ended in Prague airport at about 7:00 pm with only 2-3/4 hours of actual flying time.
Intial look around in fading twilight of medieaval old-town Prague revealed what promises to be a great place to explore with cobbled streets, cafes with local cuisines and wonderful old buildings. An example of this was the restaurant we stumbled upon for a late dinner which had us seated in what turned out to be a 14th Century oven or kiln of some sort that the waiter could not help with much in the way of relevant information. The bricks used to form this multi-arch domed chamber were clearly similar to the thin type identified to us in UK as Tudor vintage. Hence 14th Century is about right.
Looking forward to getting out and about to check this out in a lot more detail tomorrow.
