Show trip route
Our last day in the park so a last chance to jump on the It's a small world ride or catch that final burger and chips from McDonalds.
After leaving the park at 4pm we make the short 1 1/2 hour car to Reims in the heart of Champagne country.
Our typical french small hotel will certainly be a change from the Disney hotel we have just left !
An evening meal out in Reims should be slightly cheaper hopefully than the last few days.
So it's up early again and we are all knackered both tired and feet worn to stumps
Today is about grabbing those best roller coasters so shortly after checking out of the hotel and relocating the car to a public car park as Donna Helen and Leanne tackled Space mountain me Simon and Rachel went to "Its a small world", when we got there it was not open and unfortunately the heavens opened leaving us all soaked to the skin !!
Next the only ride left was in Walt Disney Studio's and that was Crush's Coaster and the East Australian current. You sit in a turtle shell and spin violently in a black inside coaster... I was not well !
After queuing for just over 1 hour for this 2 minute ride and feeling woozy .....was it all worth it !!
Whilst the dynamic three rode terror tower again the three wimps took on another show Cinamatic which was a story about a man with a mobile phone being sucked into the film and telling a story through the ages of cinema
Finally Armageddon where we all went into space and got blown to bits by a meteor !!
After meeting goofy on the way out of the Studios (that made Donna's day !) we wandered back to the village for lunch.
Lunch after yesterday's crap (£40 hotdog) was fantastic- we went to Rainforest Cafe and after drinking E50 of drinks (E35 alcohol) and an amazing meal whilst the jungle around us erupted with elephants trumpeting, monkeys chattering and tropical storms complete with lightening it was an amazing end to the stay here
Whilst Robin had a quick hour dozing in the car (actually an excuse to pop out into the village to get some presents for Donna and Helen for Christmas) the rest went back and had a quick space flight on Star Tours and finally followed the parade back to the park gates.
Leaving Disneyland Paris behind us we travelled the short 1 hour to Rheims and booked ourself into the Hotel Crystal. A quiet hotel situated right in the heart of the pedestrian area. Only 2 star but by French standards this is fantastic, clean tidy and no wires hanging out of the walls, with water pressure enough to fill a bath in less than 2 minutes.
Still full from lunch we are hoping for a snack tea tonight... Lets see what we can find
After the lunchtime huge meal we found the Cafe Latino Musica and sat outside in a "greenhouse" and had a mixture of fajitas and burritos, which was slightly different from the food we have been having
Helen being adventurous had a Diabolo, which was a mixture of soda water with fruit juices (fraise followed by kiwi) auto spelling kept trying to type diabolical !
Coffee time was fun. Simon tried to ask for a decaf coffee and the French waitress who could not speak French dud not understand. In the end he asked for a cafe light !
A relaxing but amazing end to our rush around Disneyland Paris.
