An early start and checkout at 7.30am from our hostel and a journey north to a small village called Rust.  Now that village name will not be remembered, but what will, is the fantastic day that is just about to begin.

Arrival at around 10 am to Europapark one of Europes largest Theme parks, with some of the largest and fastest rollercoasters in the world.  Silver star ride here

Before we manage to get all the guys upside down, inside out and generally looking green, we have a concert to play in the main square in the old fashioned band stand.  Maybe even a mouse will come and conduct us again as happened two years ago.  Is Wiggins going to hug him/her again !!!

With a coach full of teanagers on a high we head for Strasbourg to stay in a youth hostel in the outskirts of Strasbourg.  Lets see if all the rides will allow everyone to hold down their evening meal !

Live Blog

What a final 24 hours, yet another early start after a very roudy last night with everyone on a high that lasted until the early hours with escapees from rooms (Robin finding Ali, Joe, Fergus, Peter) hiding in the showers of one of the girls rooms at around 12.30am (it was a bit like colditz!)

Even 20 minutes later as I was on "guard" duty faces (including Morven) were still appearing and whispers (He is still there !!)

The morning saw a 2 hour drive to the Theme park with temp into the middle thirties the band performed their last performance in the park before being released to have an afternoon of trying to be sick on the most scariest roller coasters or being soaked to the skin.

Dave Smith being soaked to the skin by Robin, Donna and Liz on the "Posideon" ride (a huge roller coaster with water !) much to the delight of most of the band who were watching in the queue, I will now appogise to the two Germans behind us who got slightly damp!

Everyone enjoying the park including eating burgers and chips who were all using a rubbish bin as a table (Robin I thought you were supposed to be food hygiene qualified !)  "It was a clean German bin !!!)

Overall a fantasic week, non stop, kids knackered, some a few under the weather for a few hours with heat etc but nurse Liz getting them all back to smiles. (even Ruth was laughing this morning after constantly carrying round a bucket for the last 24 hours)

Roll on Luchion !

As we depart back to the UK on our car and leave the coach on it's last journey we say well done guys what a fantastic week, so many memories !!!

If you get a chance to watch the Opening Ceremony look out for Steve Jones playing with Grimethorpe.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow, but sorry for you that it is nearly over for another 2 years.
