Today sees us depart for Castle Neuschwanstein near Schwangau, wow what a castle (see pictures below) and a great time off
After a few hours spare to enjoy the castle we then depart for Kressbronn for another concert to play in the lake garden by the lake shore, next to the boat landing stage at around 6pm.
There will be no evening meal this evening, but as the "Rutenfest" will be on in the village there are lots of opportunities to but food from the various stalls
Oh I nearly forgot to mention it's getting like a kids boot camp, the coach can not get close to the hostel so there is a half mile walk each time we have to come and go and that involves two 25% gradient hills, so please don't get too shocked if everyone has lost some weight !!
Oh and thats not just twice a day, but sometimes four !
Guess who is first to and from the coach every trip on our half mile walk - Jonathan !!!
The sun is up and we travelled to the austrian border to see a fairy tale castle however as it was an hours walk (uphill) we stayed down in the village, after German sausage sarnies (supplied by the Hostel) it appears that the kids were too warm and most of them promptly all jumped in the lake fully clothed !!!
After an hours fun there was quite a few kids in band uniform "commando" style on the way back to the evening concert back at Lake Constance. Dan whilst playing his solo in front of the large crowd "little prayer" was probably having similar thoughts !
Wiggins, Helen Ruth and Emily took an hour to row to the other side of the lake and then realised they only had 5 mins to get back !!! Nurse Liz having to treat blisters on Wiggins hand!
At the concert Alistair treated us with an impromptu.........
