Another day, more of India and a further 90km what luxury we stay in the grounds of a hotel (in our tents) but we can have a shower !

Yet another day has passed in the saddle and yes it's only 4pm when we have reached our campsite. Our guides deceided to stop 10km or 1 hour short as we have found a secure compound. The area today has become less rural and the excited crowds are turning into exquisative touchy people. Nothing major but at least we are locked in ! So no shower as promised but after two nights of camping we are all friends and are all in the same boat ! (sweaty)

The countryside has once again changed and palm trees yet more monkeys, camels and the challenge a huge hill !! -  Well done everyone.

Everyone is in fine spirits (yes the bottle of JD whisky produced somehow from my rucksack ) and the bottles the crew produced of 8% kingfisher beer seemed to help. In fact despite the 35 ish temp today we had some good roads and we hit 17mph with an average despite the undulating terrain of 15mph in the last hour !

Two 70km days to go and the guides are reducing tomorrow's distance but increasing Saturday's.

Still no where near a computer so no pictures sorry but plenty to upload.

Sorry for the spelling and possible wrong words in this blog but predictive text and typing on an iPhone is not easy,

Now finally some words we have learnt in the last few days

Gora gora - "White man" usually shouted by small children who then want to touch you
Pani - water
Dhanyavad - thank you
Ta Ta - mainly from children who have picked it up from westerners
Sukria - another form of thankyou
Namaste - hello
Ram ram - vague form of "god be with you" normally by older men and women who put their hands together and pray for you, also very delighted with huge smile when you repeat it back to them

Finally everyone is well, bottoms now nicely massaged (by cycle seats not human hands) a few delightful bruises and scrapes on legs, no deli belly so far, but don't expect your partner to come back 2 dress sizes(in the case of women) as we have been eating like horses to balance the exercise we are doing !

4 days done and thanks to Mathews gizmo 230 miles under our belt - that must be somewhere close to London from Bradford ! Maybe someone could look that one up !

Till tomorrow....

It certainly seems like you are receiving a very warm welcome at every point. I like the sound of the JD and Kingfisher!
It's a shame your kms are cut short as it means extra later but I'm sure that in the final push you won't care! Almost over!!
Please tell Adele, I'm beginning to wish I could ride a bike! haha! Hugs all round. x
