A short 84km today and camp in the wilderness !

Bye bye at 8am (6.30/7.30/8.00) to our posh hotel and camping for the rest of the week.

Early morning saw us attach the extremely hectic streets of Jaipur . Wow Bradford streets - we will never complain again. When you are going down a road and on your side camels, bikes and tractors head towards you ! Then add cycles carrying everything from ladders (sideways) to large sheets of steel and of course the odd dog or cow sitting in the middle of the street.

This was like rush hour on the tube in London !

Then we hit the county roads which undulated (yes that means hills) towards our lunch and finally towards the ploughed field that became our campsite for the night.

The scenery has started to turn from desert and scrub and in a couple of places palm tree groves and woodland lanes have appeared. One water stop saw a bunch of monkeys who deceided to procreate in front of us... Mmmmm never seen that in Yorkshire country lanes before !

Everyone in good spirits today as we passed the half way stage. Peoples bodies still have the required amount if limbs, bottoms still attached !   Various aches and pains but I am not surprised after 180 miles in three days !   Roads slightly better today. Slight mishap with myself this afternoon, I was in front and suddenly 5 dogs came from a house bearing vicious teeth and rising up on their hind legs at me, but I managed to kick and drive over them !!! and get away without being bitten. Shaken but not stirred as James bond would say. the rest of the group deceided stones and sticks were the best option !

Colin (our doctor) also hit the headlines whilst videoing three small childen (under 5) pumping water from a well suddenly the children ran away screaming at the top of their voices.... We all put it down to his outfit !

We were cruising this afternoon and arrived early before sunset at the campsite and therefore we have all enjoyed a couple of hours sitting in the dusk chatting and generally enjoying life.

No photos for at least three days due to no computers in the wilderness !

I await your daily bulletin with anticipation. Attacked by bushes one day, now dogs! ....and having had the terrors of being driven through India in a 4 wheel drive MPV I appreciate the 'interesting' challenge of navigating through Indian traffic so it must be way harder on a bike. Well done everyone.

Sandra. Keep going. We are all proud and inspired. (also jealous).

Never a dull moment! Loving the running commentary.
Perhaps the monkeys were 'excited' to see you all! haha! Shame about the dogs, bet that was scary. Love and hugs to Adele - keep going girl! xx
