Another memorable experience we are getting up early, climbing to the top on one of the larger dunes, and see the sunrise – guaranteed to be unforgettable!
After breakfast we jump back on our camels travelling along the (dry) Draa River passing by Oued Naam and back to our Ouled Driss camp.
After two nights out in the desert this really feels like paradise where the water (if a little salty) flows freely, vegetables grow and hopefully relax in our own private 'Bedouin style' tent on a real bed and swim in the pool.
The guide book entry above is not wrong, after three days in the desert we are all a bit on the smelly and grubby side, but who cares !
A 6.30 breakfast on yet another baking day saw us on a three hour "direct" line trek back to our village and the luxury of normality, with everyone choosing what order we were to do things- proper toilet, shower, swimming pool or beer !
It wasn't long before we were fed, watered and cleaned and we have just spent the last 5 hours roasting by the pool. A quick early evening walk and after dinner I think we will all be looking forward to a proper bed tonight before getting back on the "tourist" track over the next couple of days
