Well, here I am - after 2 months of travelling, I've finally hit Australia just in time for the third Ashes test at the WACA in Perth
.
And what a day to start with - England's bowlers getting on top for the first time in the series, with Monty making a total mockery of the decision to play Giles in the first couple of tests. For those of you who haven't seen the score, Australia were all out for 240, with Monty
It's all poised for a great match and tomorrow possibly the decisive day in the series. A good batting performance from England giving them a healthy lead should set them up for the game - another collapse like Adelaide and the series is as good as lost - should be fun!
Fortunately the weather's not too hot - about 80 deg and the famous Fremantle Doctor certainly takes the edge off the heat. And as for burning in the sun, you'd have to be pretty stupid - every stand has it's own sun cream station and as all the Aussies are constantly putting the stuff on, it provides a good reminder that the sun is pretty strong down here.
As for Perth, not really had a chance to look round it yet - but I'm here for a few days so will get the chance to explore a bit - doubt I'll do all five days at the cricket - that would be a bit much!!

Go on Monty!!
taking five and Harmison, finally discovering his rhythm, taking four. England finished on 52 for 2, losing Bell and Cook, though in truth how Collingwood's still there is a mystery - more fishing than on the Swan River and a great dropped catch by Warne - tragic! It's all poised for a great match and tomorrow possibly the decisive day in the series.
