Boston is a city with a lot of history, it was here that the war of Independence began. In 1773 the locals rebelled against the British by throwing 90,000 pounds of tea into the harbour. We stayed in the South End, a very cool area with lots of nice restaurants and artistic shops. We had Mexican food, walked to the Charleston River, the Boston Common which is now a 50 acre park and gazed at MIT and Cambridge from across the river. Our hotel (140) used to be the headquarters of the YWCA! The boys went shopping at the Prudential Center and in the evening we walked along trendy Tremont street and had some Deli food. We only had one day for Boston, which is not nearly enough but we don't want to miss Cape Cod!
