Hello! Welcome back to the blog!
Today was a day filled with unimaginable thrills, chills, and overall excitement!!

OK, so it was just another 'average' day spent at the dorms. But it was kinda chilly, though not really, as it was around -2 C. But the continued grayness of the skies and moderate snowfall made it seem colder than it was. I actually wish it would cool down a bit more if it's going to snow. Otherwise the street gets so full of slush. That's one thing about this place that I'm not crazy about. They don't keep the streets and sidewalks nearly as cleared off as they do back in ND.

As you may remember, before I left for Sweden, I found a sweet VW hubcap. It made a great decor addition to my room. After that, I thought was luck was spent. But, as luck would have it, I found another hubcap. It's not as nice as the VW one; it's off a Mazda. We'll see how many more I find as time goes on.

Yesterday (and today, for that matter) Griffin and I went to the mall to get groceries and kill some time. We found a place that sells ice cream pops for 4 kroner a pop (about 60 cents). That may not seem like a big deal, but here in Norway that's really quite good. It's not uncommon to see them go for 4 times that price. They're called "Ice pod" and they have the shape of an iPod printed on the side of them. They're really good. They make me (and Griffin) happy.

I finally got around to hanging up my American flag in my room. I also hung up a (smaller) Norwegian flag that I found at the thrift store. They, together with the hubcaps, add color to the boring white walled rooms here in the dorms. Makes it feel more like somebody actually lives the room!

Slowly throughout the day, students have been returning from their winter holidays. (and by holiday, I mean vacation.) It's really nice to have some people around this place again. The silence was driving me crazy! Finally there are signs of life back at ACN!

So yeah, pretty chill day here. Tomorrow, much of the same. Hopefully most of the others will be back by the end of the day. Probably do more homework. I have a paper due Wednesday. I have to work on a story I'm writing. We're also putting together an American Culture Night for the Norwegians, where we tell them trivial stuff and prepare them some American food. And of course, we leave for Dublin on Thursday, so we'll be busy getting ready for that as well. Should be an interesting week coming up!

    Until next time,

You don't plan to bring those hubcaps home, do you? I mean they look nice, but on the wall?

Haha, no. They wouldn't fit in my luggage!

How is Norway?

It's really nice. Especially now that spring is coming.
