Today was just a day of leisure, had good intentions of checking out the other shopping centres like Centraworld, Siam paragon, Siam Discovery, but we didn't get past MBK. We wandered over to MBK around 10:30am for a coffee & left about 3:30pm. Di's toe was really sore & i'm sure she was wishing she had someone else to shop with.

As for those that have been know, MBK is fantastic, it has your usual mall shops but also has
the shops like you would find at markets around Thailand but in air-conditioned comfort. The prices are so much cheaper & bartering is fun. As i mentioned in my first enrtry, we are terrible packers, & i hope i read this before our next trip, but there is just no reason to pack any more than a change of clothes. (Note to self=Read this Idiot). We are not great shoppers either & really didn't buy that much, a few T-shirts, Di bought a pair of pants & i got me a set of Sol republic headphones.

One of the best things about MBK is the international food court on Level 5, where you can eat yourself around the world, we settled for some Thai BBQ'd chicken, i got half a bird & Di a Qtr. Very nice. Had a couple of fruit Smoothies & it cost around $20. we then went back to the motel for a swim & few Beers therapy for me. The pool is an infinity pool & we love it.

We decided to have dinner at the roof top restaraunt & the restaraunt is gorgeous at night with 360deg view of the Bangkok skyline at night. We watched a soccer game from the roof that was being played at national stadium. We shared some garlic bread, Di had a pork chop & i had some Grilled King prawns. Di had a wine & me some beers. It cost about $80 but well worth it just for the view.

We stayed at Siam@Siam again this year, this place was recommended to us by someone & we love it. Great location, its under the National Stadium BTS station & a 7 Min walk to MBK or 1 stop from National Stadium, So it ables yout to get anywhere in Bangkok. There is a Tesco lotus supermarket 2 blocks to the right as exit siam@siam for any supplies you need.

We were upgraded again this year to a BIZ class room but for some reason didn't include the free happy 2 hrs at the executive bar, maybe they remembered how much i drank last year lol. But no probs as we didn't have much time anyways.
Di judges motels on their breakfast lol, she says this is great, usual fare, egg staytion, pastries etc etc.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This is the last blog from Bangkok as we travel to Vietnam tomorrow so until then., stay safe.
