Anyway, sidetracking away from what we're actually doing - what's the van life really like? Absolutely awesome! As we sit writing this in Albania (yes, we are a bit behind), parked up right on a lovely virtually deserted beach with some cool tunes, with a view you couldn't pay for, it couldn't be better. Having a shower and toilet has meant we can just stop anywhere, and sitting here with a cold champagne and red bull out the fridge, it's just...well.... just heaps of fun. The camera has just told us we've been travelling for 243 days, and we were just thinking that by the time we've finished this trip, we'll have had the equivalent of 25 years of the average person's annual leave (what a great stat!!!!). Honestly, for us it's been the best decision we've ever made. Not a day (or a few hours) goes by without us pinching ourselves about how fortunate we are, and how much fun we're having. Not that we didn't enjoy our former alias lives at all (cos that was absolutely awesome too), but this really is a great way to live. We're lucky in that we get on so well when we spend 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week together, and never stop laughing or stuffing around ...................but then those who know us, know that already anyway! Van life does come with its boring old chores as well, like emptying the toilet, filling the water tank, putting the bed down, and driving some crap roads etc, but really, put into perspective if that's all one's got to complain about in their lives, we ain't doing too bad!
