Well it was an epic ride from Key West via the Everglades NP and air boat ride to Orlando, but well worth the trip. A decent day, mileage covered was around the 400 mile mark from Key West to Orlando, mileage from Orlando to Jacksonville was about 165 miles. A nice little ride up from Orlando allowed us to take in the sights of Lake Apopka and Lake George and then via the Ocala National Forest finished up with my favourite ride into JAX which is along the St Johns River on SR13 heading North then Green Cove Springs to home.

We overnighted right near Universal Studios at Orlando where Cliff and I took in the awesome sights and sounds of the world's largest Hard Rock Cafe - simply amazing to be surrounded by memorabilia dating back over the span or rock - we got to check out an AC/DC outfit by Angus Young, a guitar played by Neil Young at Woodstock, letter from Paul McCartney to a fan, John Lennon's original lyrics... all in all a great place to wine and dine. A couple of sherbets and we were off to bed; we need to be home in JAX so Lisa can make an appointment that she has already changed three times.....because of me....because of this trip. Happy wife = Happy Life. Bless her and my three daughthers, they put up with so much!

Looking forward to my own bed for a couple of nights.
