approximetely 1.30am. So we checked in and went to our motel room and
agreed that if we didn't eat soon, many a horse would be killed ot
satisy our hunger. Luckily, right next door to our motel was a 24hour
Denny's cafe and so we went there and grabbed a booth.
When we were there, I (tiff) just had to have a typical ice-tea, which really was
just cold icy tea- I honestly don't know what I was expecting. Needless
to say, i didn't need free refills on that drink!
The next morning, after a gradual wake-up, we had to make our way to the car
rental place to pick up the vehicle that we would be spending a LOT of
time in for the next two and a half weeks
documents, we were handed the keys and directed to the carpark where we
could find our car. On journeying to bay 12, we couldnt help but feel
excited as we saw the cars closest to our number were getting bigger and
bigger! Then only to discover that in bay 12 was our HUGE sandy
coloured Jeep Cherokee! It's a brand new vehicle that has only done
aprroximetley 15,000 miles, and we're not exaggerating when we can say
it was easily one of the biggest cars in the carpark!
After staring at the car in amusement and spending a few minutes to try and discover
how you actually turn the vehcile on, we got started on attempting to
leave the multistorey carpark............
I (Neen), took it out of the car park! I do not know how you people drive massive arse
moved! It took a while to get used to the size (and realise how to
switch it on), but in no time we were rolling down the streets of
Seattle (getting very very lost!). It would appear that the car is both
wide as well as long, as I kind of curbed the front alloy. But within no
time the music was blaring and we were cruising, no problem at all! :)
Priorities first, having driven round lost for a few hours, we then stopped at
Staples, yes that is right, the stationers. All the way to America, and
we went to Staples! :) You can never have too much stationery :D
Back over to Tiff...
Eventuallly, we decided to make our way to the Space Needle, which was a bit more
difficult than we orginally thought it would be
parked up, we went to the top and the views were amazing!
As we all know there wasnt really a lot of time in Seattle and we left there
to make our way to our next stop. We drove most of the evening and
eventually stopped in a place called Elma, which is where we are now. We
managed to find a really nice hotel with its own waffle making machine,
We are leaving here now and making our way into Oregon to
the ranch. It is about 20 hours drive away and we have to get there for
Tiff & Neen xx
