After many months of planning, the big trip is finally here!
To say I am only a little apprehensive is a slight understatement. Russia is probably not the easiest of places to start a round the world trip, but it was a choice I made because I didn't want to follow the usual backpackers route. I also wanted to cover as much of the world as possible overland, with the hope of immersing myself more into the local cultures and lifestyles.

It's taken a significant effort to put this trip together, and I feel privileged that I have this opportunity of a life time.

I hope you look forward to reading my travel stories over the coming 12 months, so drop by regularly. I'll try and update this whenever I can.

London to New York........here I come....The Long Way Round!!!!
