Cheap department store
We entered coin, which is like Macy's, stylish and reasonable. The clothes are very nice and the vibe of the store is cool. They sell all types of brands. They even sell the undergarments that I wear, which are very hard to find in the US. I purchased hair cream because I totally forgot that I had setting lotion.Culture
We saw an article about The Design Museum and decided to give it a shot. The entire set-up of the museum was so confusing. The entire museum is made up of special exhibits. Each exhibit cost 6 euros. I found that to be absurd. 24 euros for the Museum? I didn't pay that much to see an entire exhibit on the Impressionists and I love the Impressionists. 24 euros for a bunch of people I have never heard of is just wrong! We decided to look at the free exhibits instead!Sempione Park
This is one of the largest parks in Milan. Apparently, it also has the highest grass. Only the dogs seemed to enjoy being in high grass. I absolutely detest high grass and doubt that I will have a picnic in the park anytime soon. The scenery was great. There were random statues everywhere. The problem was the darn grass.
According to every guide, Cafe Cavalli is a must see. Well you have got to find it before you can see it! None of the guides gave us an address. Therefore, we had to wander through the park with the hope of finding the cafe. Apparently the cafe isn't a cafe. It is more of a club that requires reservations. If that is the case, why in the heck did they call it a cafe!
Maybe I'll try to make a reservation so i can have my glamourous experience in Milan and get over what I sure is a bunch of hype for nothing.
Beyond the Park
Beyond the park is an amazing circle with a historic building and many shops, including a sex shop! It is amazing how all of the bad American concepts are communicated in English. Around the corner from the sex shop was a scene that was very New York Upper West Side-ish.
There are cool cafes and lounges with cool looking people. We did not hang around for too long because we had been on our feet for hours. As we waited for the tram, I saw a Maserati! We boarded the tram bound for Cardorna. I saw another Maserati when I was on the tram and concluded that I need to live in that neighborhood!
I hope that you enjoyed reading about something other than the Duomo!
We decided to stay way from Duomo Square at all costs today. Instead of our usual destination, we left the apartment in search of a cheap department store, culture, a park and a cafe.
