Dobar dan (good day) from Croatia!
This morning we awoke in our stateroom and could see the islands of Croatia through our portal window. We showered in our amazingly efficent bathroom and headed up top to eat a sit down breakfast in the dining room. We docked ontime at 7am and went through passport control, hit the internet cafe and found out there was a 7:15am tender to our island of Kolocep, ran to buy two tickets and hustled down the marina hoping to catch the boat. Luckily for us they were running a few minutes late, we boarded and were on our way to Kolocep.
The 30 minute boat ride was beautiful from Dubrovnick and we left grey clouds behind us to a beautiful sun filled paradise. We literally feel like we have this island to ourselves and are looking forward to spending a few days here relaying and exploring our island
We ended up relaxing the day away on our island, lounging by the beautiful pool and dipping ourselves into the stunning Adriatic Sea - yes, ALL DAY LONG, literally until dinner time!
We cleaned up and were impressed with the huge buffet spread in our hotel. They served excellent Croatian food and enough for an army! We left thoroughly and happily stuffed, which completed our day of rest on our island of Kolocep.
Tomorrow we will explore Kolocep and see what else the island has to offer.
Today's walk: 4 miles
Total for the journey (217 miles, 41 days)
Love,
Laurie and Ryan

. The water is crystal clear blue-green and we are very pleased with the hotel. It is very clean and spacious and our room overlooks the Kolecep bay - http://www.kolocep.com/ This is a perfect answer after a hectic stay in Italy. We ended up relaxing the day away on our island, lounging by the beautiful pool and dipping ourselves into the stunning Adriatic Sea - yes, ALL DAY LONG, literally until dinner time!

Ummm....
Every stop you've made has been so interesting and beautiful and it seems like it gets more so every step of the way. It's amazing and beautiful to be a part of. You will be so happy you went to Croatia before it 'hit' the big time. enjoy!!!! Love, Sammy
Ryan, remember?
Do you remember Carolyn and Katies social seminar at the Mac Club, the only thing they remembered was that 'Turkeys are stuffed and people are full' This country sounds delightful, wish we were there! Mom
