Stumbled in after 3 AM after a crazy night with my girlfriends from London. Those gals can party...I feel like a nun next to them. I suppose us Americans can be a bit uptight at times, wouldn't you agree darling?
In an attempt to keep this G-Rated, I will leave out the detail of the first part of the evening. Nimmy, Krista and I went to the Circle Bar which has a nightly Thai male strip show. The club has a balanced mix of heterosexuals, homosexuals and lady boys. As in Bangkok, everything you see on stage is accessible and affordable. The show was quite entertaining, particular the shower scene....OMG and will leave it at that. The men parade naked around the bar in hopes to be hired for the evening. Some interesting goods being displayed; I remained innocent as well as uninterested and kept my bahts in my wallet. I do not see any pleasure in hiring a man for the evening
Girls Gone Wild
.Next stop - Adams Apple. A club for gay men, we hung around a bit to watch the entertainment, Not as entertaining as the Circle Bar but most definitely acts that you will never, ever see in America. On to the next stop - Club Zeed.
Club Zeed is a huge underground club for the younger Thai people. In fact, we were the only 3 Westerners in the club of 300-400 guests. A great band playing a mix of rock n roll, ska and pop. Must have been a popular group, each time a song would begin, they jumped to their feet and began singing along. It was great to see the youth enjoying themselves.
Here is the thing in Thailand. In these types of clubs you order beer or whiskey. If you order whiskey, you buy the entire bottle ($10 US). All evening you have a waiter taking care of you. When in Thailand, join the crowd. The Thai men continually came up to cheers with us, the girls loved to dance with us. Given the age difference and us being Westerners never did we feel out of place. We danced all night long. Too much fun! I left at 2:30 AM, couldn't find a tuk or songtaew back to the apartment, ended up walking the 3 miles back home
How It All Started....
. Never once did I feel unsafe. Thailand is one of those unusual countries where personal safety is pretty much assured everywhere and at all times.Sunday, October 24, 2009
It is Sunday morning (I think!), Robert, Brain, Nimmy and I will be meeting Anna at the Ratilanna, a high end resort near the river, for High Tea.
The last few days I have been doing girly stuff. Ordered 2 new sets of prescriptions glasses, regular and sunglasses ($137 US), Accuve II contact lenses ($18/box), massages of course and began car boxy therapy.
How does carboxytherapy work for cellulite and fat reduction?
When injected via a specific technique, carbon dioxide gas is directly
toxic to fat cells. The fat cells literally burst and are eliminated by
the body.
I am turning into a little rice ball, thought I would give this a try.
Good news that my dearest friend, Elaine, is arriving from the States to join me in Phuket on November 15th. I plan to head over to Malaysia for a few days before her arrival.
I need to come home......I am having way to much FUN!!

Re: G-rated
I was completely innocent. Not spending my baht on those boys. The activities of the show is what I am leaving out.
Your keeping me smiling
I think you should stay as long as you want. Reality will always be here, why come back! Next time you go I'm coming with you. 10 years of being a Mom and 12 years of marrage...I need some fantasy life too. LOL, I'll buy dinner, you tell details :)
My little darling
